The use of catalysts, which offer a different route for the forming and breaking of bonds, speeds up processes. Process engineering is the knowledge and application of fundamental natural laws and principles at the industrial level that enables humans to convert energy and raw materials into products that are valuable to society. By utilising the law of conservation of mass, pressure, temperature, and concentration gradients as well as other natural driving factors, process engineers may develop methods to synthesise and purify large amounts of desired chemical compounds. Process engineers aid in converting raw materials into practical everyday things. They are in charge of creating, carrying out, controlling, and optimising industrial machinery and processes in the manufacturing sector. These processes can be chemical or mechanical.
