Biography:
Luisa María Gómez Sainero started research activities in 1989 for the companyErcros S.A. and the Institute of Catalysis (ICP) of Spanish CSIC. In 1997 got her PhDin industrial chemistry by the Complutense University of Madrid. She worked as postdoctoral fellow in the ICP (1997-2000) and the School of Chemical Engineering of the University of Edinburgh (2000-2001) under a Marie Curie Fellowship. In 2001 she joined the Autónoma University of Madrid as an Assistan Professor, and currently she is Lecturer in Chemical Engineering from 2003. She has been Principal Investigator of several projects funded by the Spanish Government focused on the treatment of chlorinated organic wastes by gas-phase hydrodechlorination. Other research interests include hydrogen production and electrocatalysts for fuel cells. She is author of 40 publications, three patents and 78 contributions to conferences. Teaching activities include lectures, practical classes, tutorials and supervision of final research and design projects in Chemical Engineering. She is departmental coordinator for International Exchange Programs, included the Erasmus Program.
