Biography:
After a PhD at the University of Strasbourg and two fellowships (NSF at PennState USA, AvH at TU Munich) to work on organometallic chemistry, Claude de Bellefon received a research fellow position at CNRS Strasbourg. he then moved to industry as associate researcher at Rhône-Poulenc (Lyon) to develop catalytic hydrogenations. In 1995, he founded the Catalytic Process Engineering team at CPE Lyon, the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, University of Lyon. He is a Research Director at CNRS and the Scientific Director of CPE Lyon. His main research interests are multiphase reactors, homogeneous heterogeneous catalysis, micro-structured reactors, flow-chemistry, and process intensification.
