Dr. Dmitry Nikushchenko was born in 1973 in Leningrad, USSR, then studied at St. Petersburg State Maritime Technical University, Russia. In 1999 he has defended his thesis for the degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences in area of ship hydrodynamics and propulsion. In 2002-2003, he worked as a professor of the Shipbuilding Department at Chosun University (Gwangju, South Korea). In 2011 he has defended his dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences in the specialty «Mechanics of fluid, gas and plasma». He is an author of more than 140 research articles in SCI(E) journals in applied mathematics, hydrodynamics, ships, and underwater vehicles stearingability. Since 1999 he works in State Marine Technical University as assistant professor, professor, vice-rector for research, the director of Institute of Hydrodynamics ans Control Processes of State Marine Technical University. He is a honorary worker of higher education of Russian Federation, awarded a diploma of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
